This battery works perfectly with my Dell Inspiron 1501. I just put it in and didn’t do anything else. Works great and I love having the over 3 hour time.

Very good product… its been a month and i believe the battery life time hasn’t gone down at all. it works! that’s all their is to it.

i might buy a second for my mom’s computer….

Installed this on my Dell Inspiron 1501 on 10/30/09. The system immediately recognized it and began charging it. It showed 86% charge out of the box, and charged to 100% in a few hours. I had “major” problems with the battery I purchased a few weeks from another store for $32 (cheapest I could find on the web). The Inspiron 1501 did not recognize this battery and gave me the “did not recognize the product number and will not charge” message, and it didn’t. I tried everything including flashing the BIOS with the download from Dell (which can only be done with no battery in the computer). I was getting three red flashes and one green flash continuously on the battery light on the lower right side of the lid which according to the manual means defective battery which turned out to be true. I trashed the cheap battery (which I noticed was rated at 5200 ma vs the rating of 7200 on the Amazon battery)because I did not save the receipt. I am thrilled with this battery which is giving me about 3 hours before needing a charge, and charges to 100% overnight with no problem.

Bought this battery 2 weeks back, worked fine for a week, now it's completely drained off. Can't recharge it at all. Will have to call Brainydeal for a replacement.

DONT Buy this product !!!!
