Lego has traditionally been against the idea of creating “military”-style sets. Yes, they have always offered planes/helicopters/boats—but all in CIVILIAN style. Recently, the Indiana Jones series of sets offered some pseudo-military planes and vehicles and now FINALLY some Army Men!
My son immediately spent his hard-earned allowance to purchase 2 of these sets to start building his Lego army. Hopefully Lego will expand this series of sets soon!

I got this for my son for his 9th birthday. He was so excited to get it. But just so you know, these Lego army men are NOT all one piece. They are just like other Lego sets where they come in a million pieces and you get a diagram of how to put them together. I guess I thought this was going to be a box of little Lego army men that he would just open up and add them to his other Lego’s. But actually, they are a Lego set them self that will need put together. My son loved doing it and was still thrilled with them.
