  1. Couldn’t hold a Center channel speaker. Mounting bracket bent and actually pulled from the wall.(It was in a stud) Thankfully I was right next to it when it fell and caught my expensive speaker! Replaced it with a typical wood shelf from Home Depot. Shelf was rated at 30 lbs…10 is probably most it will hold. Very disappointed…

Great product at a great price! I intalled it with no problems and it looks nice.

Only negative is that the cable management seemed a little tight. Overall a great product!

  3. I love these component wall mounts. I have the Omnimount Tria 3 in the living room and the Omnimount Tria 1 in the bedroom. These work exactly as advertised and are very simple to install. The only tricky part is running all of your cables. If you are running all HDMI like I am this is simple, but if you have component cables as well then good luck it will take awhile as the cable tracks are not very wide. All in all this product works perfect for me.

  4. As I didn’t have enough space for my traditional media center, I needed a shelf on the wall to put my hardware.

This shelf looks very nice, and is fairly straight forward with installation. As the seperate shelf backbones can interlock it’s cheaper to buy 2 single shelves vs the double-shelf product and put them together.

I REALLY like the look of these shelves. The glass is stylish, and it seems to hold the components well. ONE PROBLEM. The screws provided for using into a wood stud are the biggest pain in the a** to get flush into the wall. They are NOT wood boring screws. The manufacturer should’ve provided bolts that could be cranked into

the wall, or screws that are meant to go into wood studs.

Oh and you HAVE to mount this into a stud, there’s no way an anchor will support not only the hardware, but the equipment you put on it.

So after a very frustrating time of unable to hand or power drill the screws FLUSH into the wall, I took out 3 of my 2″ deck screws — that I used to build my daughter’s playground set — and used those to add additional support into the wall stud.

That being said, I’m very happy with the final result. The cord alley can be covered so you can’t see my additional screws and it can hold several cords behind it without being cramped. These cost much more at my local store, so it’s definitely a great bargain.
