I have been waiting and waiting for this light!!! I love my easel cover, and the only thing in the whole world that is wrong with my Kindle experience is the lack of a light. (still wish there was a backlight option or something). But without an adapter, I’m just not buying this. I HATE batteries! Twenty hours of reading is nothing. I’m going to hope this problem is solved soon, so I can purchase this light, which I want very badly.

This makes this light hugely inappropriate for travel. Batteries are now very limited on flights and obtaining good batteries in Asian countries is difficult. How could you design a lighting system for travel reading with no adapter? Or did I miss something in the description?

  3. THIS LIGHT WOULD BE OKAY FOR A REGULAR KINDLE, WHICH I STILL HAVE AND TRIED IT THERE. IT IS TOTALLY INADEQUATE FOR THE KINDLE DX. THERE IS NO WAY TO POSITION THE LIGHT TO COVER THE WHOLE SCREEN. USELESS.

It must be designed for a different m-edge cover than I have. There was no “pocket” to put the light in, and no matter how I tried, I couldn’t make the swivel work without pulling the light out from behind the Kindle so it had room to rotate. I had to take the light out to get the cover to close correctly, as well. Maybe this is designed for the m-edge that flips over the top of the Kindle, instead of flipping in book format, along the left edge? I don’t know, but while the light is bright enough, and is small, it simply doesn’t fit in my m-edge Kindle cover (and yes, before someone says it, I double checked–my cover is an m-dege brand, says so right on the back).

If you don’t have a proper cover for your Kindle there is no place to stick the lamp.
