Eagle Tech ET-AR504LR-BK 2.1 Soundstage Speakers with Subwoofer & Remote

I bought these speakers after reading this review. The Packaging was top notch and the the speakers looked nice and stealthy. So I connected this to my Ipod and played a very high quality Mp3 track…there was very little sound so I turned the speaker AND MP3 volume to max. I WAS SHOCKED that at MAX sound the performance of these speakers was horrendous. the volume was barely audible and muffled. I tried to play with the settings but to no avail. Cant even return this POS. Guys these ARE NOT LOUD. My 10 year old Labtech speakers that are quarter the size of these would eat this system for breakfast. This is an overpriced paper weight and I am SO DISAPPOINTED. I am going to call Eagletech to see if there could be something wrong, but I dont think there is. Folks YOU CANNOT compare this system to the top of the line systems out there from logitech, bose, creative, etc. I wasted my money on this and the reviews misled me big time.

Even though the speakers specifically state that they can be used with a PC, they were not magnetically shielded and messed up the display screen on my monitor.

For anyone on a very tight budget these speakers will be ok. But they are not loud enough, quality not clear enough for me specifically.

I ordered a set of these, but was confused by the lack of volume indicator. I swore there was supposed to be a volume indicator.
I was right. The Amazon picture clearly shows a volume, treble, and bass indicator on the front LED. I could hear the volume etc. go up and down, but there was no indicator. I couldn’t be sure if I was near the high end or in the middle (the manual recommends 30% – 80% volume for best clarity).
OK. No big deal. Every factory has some amount that slips through. So, I sent those back and ordered a replacement (from Amazon again).
The second set arrived. With the exact same problems. Clearly, Eagle Tech has some quality issues.
I STRONGLY recommend against buying these for a few months until Eagle Tech can figure out their quality issues (or until someone else writes a good review confirming the problems are fixed). Hit ‘em where it hurts: in the wallet. Don’t waste your time ordering systematically defective products.
P.S. In case anyone is wondering: Yes, I did read the manual. I tried every setting available. I could hear the volume go up and down, but could not see it on the LED.

I read the reviews on this and thought WOW must be great speakers for the computer but I must say I was very disappointed. Maybe its my own fault as I was looking for something with a lot more bass sound to it. I bought a cheaper pair from a place about 5 years ago for about $30 that blew these away with the bass sound but alas they are dead so I bought this set and ended up very disappointed
