The adapter doesn’t fit right into the back of the laptop. Don’t buy this product. Buy the original OEM cord if you want your laptop to charge again.

This product works as intended and is a great value for ~$6. As such, it comes with small annoyances that I will outline for your consideration. The cord portion from the transformer to the laptop connector is much shorter than the OEM spec and makes working with a plugged-in laptop a pain because the transformer hangs in the air off the table since it isn’t long enough to reach the ground. This will cause excessive wear-and-tear on the connection point to the transformer. The 2nd issue to be aware of is that the tranformer itself goes through hot and cold cycles of heat that will cause it to become extremely hot randomly to the point that it will burn your finger if you hold it for too long. This raises questions about the transformer overheating later down the road.
As for now, the cord does its job and charges the battery, but the manufacturer should consider adding a foot more to the length of the cord.

I bought this charger after my manufactured charger wasn’t charging my laptop. I have an Acer 5515, and it worked perfectly. The build is great, it works great. Had it for about a month without problems. Usually by now, cheap products would fall apart. With this, I’ve had no issues.

My original cord lasted for about a year. I was so excited to see such a low price for a replacement cord that I ordered right away because I couldn’t find it in stores. I realized with my original cord how much I was bending the cord with resulted in it shorting out completely. Therefore, when I received this replacement cord I took extra measures to make sure I wasn’t bending the cord at unnecessary angles. However, after less than 90 days it’s starting to shorting out back and forth while I’m sitting writing this review and sometimes gets really hot. I would not recommend anyone purchase this and I’m upset with myself that I did not read the reviews prior to buying it.

Bought a used laptop from a friend, needless to say didn’t get the AC adapter and he moved…LOL. Decently priced item, received in 2 days, very fast delivery. Quite Pleased!!! A+++++ to the seller!!!
